I can't say enough good things about this place! I do need to inform readers right away that this is a cash only business. We were greeted cheerfully and seated immediately. The level to which they allow guests to re-pirtiin and customize what they want is unprecedented in my experience. My husband ordered half a hungry mountain and loved it. I ordered a 2 egg southern omelette with a side of half order American fries. Skipped on toast. I really enjoyed my breakfast. It was still big and I think next time I would ask for half the sausage stuffing. Do make this a breakfast stop when in the area.

Food was fantastic and fresh, the service was wonderful, can't believe I have never come here before. Take out only but doesn't detract from the quality on anything I'll definitely be back!!

Great place to visit. Exceptional food and service. One of the friendliest wait staffs we have ever encountered. The only question I have is why didn't we find this place sooner! You will not be disappointed!

This is carry out only and we were not aware of this on our visit so just an FYI . The woman at the window was so kind and courteous and really just made my day the way she works what I believe is her business. I had a simple breakfast of eggs over easy, hash brown potatoes, rye toast, and coffee. Everything was hot and delicious and what I consider very reasonably priced. Most highly recommend

Take-out only because it’s family owned and most of the family left except for the cook and Shelley, but everything is freshly made, home cooked, and Shelley is so kind and friendly! Reminds me of someplace I would find back at home (Utah). Definitely worth the wait and I would come back again! Make sure to call ahead and show support to such a rare gem and great establishment!

I can't say enough great things about this little gem of a place. I love eating here. The atmosphere is so cozy, the staff (family owned) are extremely friendly and inviting and don't even get me started on the food. Absolutely delicious! 5 stars without a doubt. Reply to the Owner: My dad and I love your restaurant! I didn't realize you guys are open again! How exciting!

I ended up here one morning about 10 years ago. I had a giant omelette with sausage gravy. To this day it remains the best thing I ever ate and I think about this place all the time. I tell everyone I can in Chicago to find this place if they are driving around the lake. I think anyone who finds themselves nearby should go. Edit: just now seeing it appears to be take out only these days. That’s a bummer, because the inside was really lovely and comfortable, but I can only imagine how covid mixed things up. The food was the best part, so I still give my full recs and I’m glad I got to try the sit down experience when I did.
